The name of the association must be in Serbian and Cyrillic, but it can also contain some foreign words, if they are the name of an international organization, if the words are in a dead language, if there is no corresponding word in Serbian or if they are common in Serbian.

Is it possible to enter the name of the association in the register in translation into a foreign language?

Yes, if it is provided as an option by your statute. The translation may be entered in one or more foreign languages and shall be entered after the name in the Serbian language and the Cyrillic alphabet, ie after the name in the language and alphabet of the national minority.

What happens if the name we applied for registration is already taken?

Can the name be reserved for later registration?

The Business Registers Agency allows the possibility of booking the name of the association. It is necessary to submit to the register an application for the reservation of the name as well as proof of payment of the reservation fee.

What happens if a name is reserved?

In the case of booking a name, you receive a confirmation of booking the name and the name is entered into the database of reserved names. The name is reserved for a period of 60 days.
